Pivot has always come from a place of wanting to help people. Noticing people’s pain is something that has always come naturally to me (Jennifer) and so it’s only ever seemed fitting to support those around me and help to minimise that feeling.
I’ve seen it time and time again where people have been let down with their care and it’s something I’ve also experienced myself after a ski accident that I’ll carry with me forever. Not as a criticism of the NHS or to claim we’re better than anyone else, but as a place where you’ll find highly qualified individuals who truly care about how you’re feeling and are dedicated to supporting you. Think of us as the ultimate form of self-care.
To find balance, release tension and restore movement suits both our physical impact as well as our mental. Carrying the weight of an injury and of pain is draining, not feeling strong or free to move in your body is restricting. We combine the release of our Physiotherapy treatment with the structure of our studio to help you redefine your movement and thoughts as your pain allows.
Our studio timetable was developed to consider you as a whole. Pilates for your strength, to bring height back to your posture. Yoga to breath and relax the mind in a world that doesn’t give a moment. Barre for low-impact support for cardiovascular health and exercise endorphins we all sometimes need. We recommend one of each class style a week to build your comprehensive fitness routine.
Thank you for taking the time to find out a little bit more about me and Pivot.
