Hi, I’m Mary, and ballet has been part of my world for as long as I can remember. I started dancing at the age of four, and at sixteen I moved from Newcastle to train professionally at Kings International Ballet Academy, pursuing my dream of becoming a professional dancer.
After graduating, I joined a contemporary ballet company in Hungary as an apprentice, performing works including Swan Lake and The Nutcracker and gaining invaluable experience working with dancers and choreographers from around the world.
When I returned to England in 2023, I knew I wanted to share everything ballet has given me, the beauty of movement, the confidence it brings, and the joy of discovering strength and grace you never knew you had.
Now, I teach dancers of all ages, from tiny ballet beginners to adults rediscovering their love for movement, all while continuing to perform as a freelance ballet and contemporary dancer in the UK. I feel incredibly lucky to do what I love every day.
At Pivot, I also bring my classical technique into Barre, blending strength, flow, posture and elegance to create uplifting classes that leave you feeling lengthened, challenged, and inspired.
