That might mean an Indian head massage to help with postnatal hair loss and tension, or acupuncture to release a stubborn jaw or migraine that just won’t quit. Every session is guided by the same goal, to relieve pain, restore movement, and help you feel like yourself again.
Your first session is all about clarity and direction. We’ll settle with a cup of tea & take time to listen to your story, explore your symptoms, and carry out a thorough physical assessment to understand the cause of your pain. From there, we’ll create a tailored treatment plan that fits your body and your goals, and treatment will begin right away, so you can start feeling progress from day one.
Your follow-up sessions are where we build momentum. These treatments may include a combination of hands-on techniques, guided exercises, acupuncture, or other modalities to restore strength and movement. You’ll receive ongoing support, clear guidance, and practical tools to help you take control of your recovery between sessions too.
As your symptoms improve, our focus shifts towards rebuilding your confidence in movement and helping you return to the things that matter most. That might mean picking up your grandchildren with ease, sitting comfortably at your desk, walking the dog without pain, or getting back to your favourite sport. We’ll progress your program gradually and safely, supporting you as you regain strength and freedom in your body. Our goal is to give you the tools, knowledge, and confidence to stay active and enjoy life long after your treatment ends.
Massage, mobilisation, and manipulation techniques are used to release tension, restore alignment, and optimise how your body carries load. These manual methods help relieve discomfort, improve flexibility, and prepare your body for more balanced, efficient movement.
Where appropriate, we may include acupuncture as part of your physiotherapy treatment, at no additional cost. It can be especially effective for persistent pain in the neck, back, or jaw, providing deep, restorative relief. If you’d like to explore acupuncture as part of your session, simply let your therapist know.
Movement is medicine, and knowledge is power. We’ll help you understand your condition, the reasons behind your pain, and the purpose of each exercise prescribed. Our aim is to give you clarity, confidence, and the tools to continue improving long after your sessions end.
Please wear something comfortable that allows you to move easily, such as leggings, shorts, or a loose top. If we need to assess a specific area (for example, your back or shoulder), we may ask you to adjust clothing slightly so we can see how you move.
We also have changing rooms and lockers available if you’d like to get changed on-site before your session.
