Meet Leah

Sports Therapist & Pilates Instructor

Hi, I’m Leah, a Sports Therapist here at Pivot Therapies. I’ve always been passionate about helping people feel their best, whether it’s getting back to their favourite sport or simply moving through daily life with more confidence and ease.

I completed my degree in Sports Therapy at the University of Central Lancashire, and since then, I’ve had the amazing opportunity to work with some incredible football and rugby teams, like Wigan Warriors and Stockport County. Those fast-paced environments taught me a lot, but what I love most is working with people of all ages and abilities, from kids to seniors, and from fitness enthusiasts to professional athletes.

At Pivot Therapies, I specialise in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal conditions, especially lower limb and lower back injuries. My approach is all about creating personalised recovery plans that not only help clients heal but also get them performing better than before. I mix hands-on techniques like sports massage with Pilates and strength training to make sure every session is as effective as it is tailored.

When I’m not at the clinic, you’ll usually find me outdoors, spending time with my horse, goat, and sheep. I’ve got a soft spot for all animals, big and small—whether it’s a spider, rabbit, or even an elephant! I was also a competitive swimmer growing up, and I still have a deep love for the water. These days, paddleboarding is my go-to hobby, and thanks to Pilates, I can even pull off a headstand on the board!

Favourite exercise:

It has to be Swimming from Level 1 to Level 4. It’s one of those movements that can be easily overlooked, but it’s all about taking a fundamental movement and refining it until you truly feel the burn.
