What should I wear for Pilates?

Whatever you feel comfortable moving in. Form-fitting clothing can really help our instructors see your alignment and offer helpful adjustments, but it’s never a requirement.

Grip socks aren’t essential for matwork, but they can help with stability, especially in standing exercises. If you don’t have any yet, normal socks are absolutely fine, you can always pick up grip socks later if you find they help

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Just bring yourself and some water. We provide all the equipment you’ll need.
If you’d like to bring personal items such as your own head cushion, towel, blanket, or eye mask (especially for yoga), you’re very welcome to.

We now have changing rooms, showers, and lockers available, just bring your own towel, toiletries, and a padlock if you’d like to secure your belongings. (Please note: showers are not available after our final classes of the evening.)

I struggle to get up and down from the floor, is it suitable for me?

You’re very welcome here, and we want to make sure you feel fully supported.

If getting up and down from the mat feels challenging, you may prefer our Reformer: Foundations course. The Reformer is an elevated surface, making it much easier to transition, and it can be adapted beautifully to your individual needs.

If you’re unsure, please get in touch, we’re more than happy to guide you toward the best starting point.

I’m recovering from an injury, which class should I choose?

We offer a wide range of classes, and the best option really depends on your injury and current movement confidence. One of our physiotherapists can point you in the right direction, so please feel free to call or message us for personalised advice.

If you’re brand new to Pilates or want to build confidence gently, our Foundations classes are a great place to start. As you progress, our instructors will help you explore other classes that feel right for your body.
